Following our very successful first event, registration for our second workshop – Justice and the Liverpool-Ireland Abortion Corridor – is now open. The workshop will take place on June 4th at the MAC in Belfast between 9.30am and 4pm.
This second meeting will consider the historic and continuing legal contours of the LIAC and aims to connect with current debates in law and reproductive health in Ireland (North and South).
Combining a more ‘traditional’ conference style with the collective community of inquiry environment that proved so productive in the first meeting, the workshop aims to capture the liveliness and complexity of the relationship between the LIAC, the law and the practice of care.
Contributions in the form of papers, personal testimonies, research reflections and/or performances would be greatly appreciated. Those interested should email the project team for further information.
Registration is free but spaces are limited and a light lunch will be provided.
*In light of the sensitive nature of the subject, the project team retains the right to refuse applications for places. Participation and entrance is subject to confirmation via email.
